Winterberry great bowl

Made of chip resistant stoneware

Great BIG Bowl Much as I love my Winterberry collection I didn't read the dimensions of this bowl well and it is much too big for my space and needs. Will be a great Wassail Bowl.
huge bowl I did not believe this bowl would be so large. When it arrived I was surprised. It arrived in perfect condition as did all other items to this set. They are beautiful and practical.
This bowl is aptly named. This Winterberry Great bowl is lovely but as the name implies it is huge. I was not aware that it was so big but I am sure we can fill it with wonderful things this Christmas. It was a great addition to my Winterberry dishes. It would be helpful if they could indicate the amount in qts. that it holds to give a better idea of its size.
great bowl is just that this is one of the largest bowls for serving that i have seen.
Fabulous This bowl is wonderful. Very versatile durable and pretty. I used it all during the Holiday season for every thing from punch to salad to mixing cookie and bread dough. I love the large size and it has the quality one would expect from Pfaltzgraff. I purchased one a couple of years ago when it was on sale and liked it so much I purchased another this year.

Not the same as old Rio If you are looking to match your old Rio dishes that were made in Mexico then you should know this is not exactly the same. The new dishes we purchased bowls dinner plates and salad plates from amazon are made in China. They are heavier in weight making them almost too heavy have muted colors and the paint lines look machine made whereas the old ones looked hand painted. Most disappointing is the color variation as the old ones are very nice blue tones. I am very disappointed in the quality control here. I can understand moving manufacturing locations but the product should be the same if it is labeled the same.
Pattern is slightly different than original set We bought the original set in this pattern from Pfaltzgraff several years ago but one of the bowls broke so we needed a replacement. When this new bowl arrived I noticed it looked slightly different from the originals. It seems that the original set was made in Mexico but the new bowl was made in China. The pattern on the original set was slightly imperfect as was the general molding/shape of the dishes. Some people may not like that but we thought it gave the dishes a wonderful artisan type feel. This replacement bowl is perfectly shaped and the pattern is perfect almost as though it were stamped on not handpainted. Some people may not even notice the difference or some may prefer the difference in the new ones but we like the old ones better.
